DO YOU GIVE ADVICE ?

No. The Insurance Supermarket cannot advise or recommend that you choose a certain policy. We can, however, put you in contact with an FCA registered broker who can offer advice.

DOES YOUR SERVICE COST ANYTHING ?

No. The Insurance Supermarket does not charge you a fee for connecting you with a broker.

WHICH PROVIDERS CAN YOU PROVIDE QUOTES FROM ?

Life insurance providers usually define a smoker as someone who has smoked or used any products containing nicotine within the last 12 months.

WHAT IS UNDERWRITING?

During the application process, all life insurance providers will ask questions about your current and past medical history. These questions may seem intrusive, but they play a crucial role in presenting your risk rating to an insurer. In some instances you will not be accepted straight away, and the case will be referred to underwriting. When this happens, your case will be manually assessed by an underwriter who may decide to write to your GP for further information. There may also be additional medical checks required before your policy can be approved or declined. A broker will keep you informed every step of the way to make sure you know exactly what’s going on.

CAN I CHANGE MY COVER IF CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE?

Absolutely. It’s important to keep your life insurance relevant to your personal needs and situation. If you ever need to update or change your cover, make sure you give your broker a call to discuss any changes.

IS THERE A COOLING OFF PERIOD?

You have a 30 day cooling off period for any life insurance policy. If you cancel during this time you may receive a refund of any premiums paid.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL AFTER THE COOLING OFF PERIOD?

If you cancel outside of the 30 day cooling off period you may not receive any refund from the provider.
